Disclaimer on registration - Possible legal consequences for admins?

When signing up on the forum, the user is not able and not required to confirm that he read and accepts a disclaimer.

As an administrator of a public website you have no possibility to protect against legal consequences (So do I think about it, please correct me if I am wrong. Also notice that not all countries have the same laws regarding internet and media.)

Most important to note is that a Disclaimer, no matter how strong, will not protect you from liability for advertisements, misinformation, mis-statements and other misleading (potential or otherwise) material on your website.

No, but a disclaimer or TOS is the least you can do to indemnify yourself when your site users do something stupid (or ads, etc). It may not fix all the problems in the end, but some find it useful to have the bare minimum protection just in case.
