Images links can be "embedded" with basic Markdown or BBCode:

![img](https://example.com/image.jpg)
[img]https://example.com/image.jpg[/img]

Links to popular content sharing websites (like YouTube in your test) can be automatically embedded with the MediaEmbed extension

What do you mean by banner ? A signature ?

1) With BBCode and Markdown you cover nearly all existing forum syntaxes worldwide. Anybody familiar with online communities has already seen and probably used one of these syntax (I believe !). Of course you can use extensions to add a visual editor to your Flarum, like this one

2) There are already many discussions about signatures and even an existing extension

Braden I don't understand your question.

If you're referring to the YouTube video in the original post, the author just posted a link to the video and the MediaEmbed feature which is provided by FoF Formatting extension and enabled on this forum will turn it automatically into a YouTube embed.
