I wonder if it's possible to pull my own version of the source from Github? Not really used to working with Github so, is it possible to get the lastest code at any time?

Yes, that's what GitHub is for. Though if you're planning to install the software, you'd be better off getting the ZIP from the Download page. The code in that package has been prepared for installation, whereas the code you get straight from GitHub hasn't.

Also please be aware that the second beta is coming soon, and will include fixes for installation issues as well as other improvements. It might be easiest to wait for that one.
