After the beta16 update it returns an error to me, I see in the console this

typeError: n.blocksPd is not a function

Also https://domain/api/users returns an error 500.

wonderbeel the blocksPd error is likely related to the Byobu extension, which isn't compatible with Flarum beta 16 yet.

Do you have the full error message for the 500 error? Check Flarum log file at <flarum>/storage/logs or enable debug mode in config.php

You were right about byobu, the other issues seems to be related to the beta16 update I fear that something went wrong with the migrations so I don't think that they are related to this extension (lesson learned, never set a docker image to latest in production).

wonderbeel I finally had some time to investigate this issue (retried to update my testing forum from beta 15 to beta 16) and it seems that on the flarum route change some scripts are missing

If I open my flarum installation and then switch to /users in the browser console I see errors similar to the byobu one (it also breaks for fof ignore users and the core moderation buttons)
If I directly open the /users route everything works correctly

I also tried to reproduce this issue on a beta 16 installation (no updates from beta 15 then) and there it doesn't happen, there aren't server side logs to help debugging this issue sadly.

This will be a little harder to troubleshoot. I can’t just deactivate all extensions and reactivate them one by one as an admin. I would have to deactivate. Log in as a regular user, see if it’s fixed. Log in as admin, reactivate the first extension. Log in as a regular user, see if it’s still working. Log in as admin, reactivate the next extension. Log in as regular user... and so on. And I have a ton of extensions.

So, would anyone within @FriendsOfFlarum be willing to at least 100% confirm that with just core and compatible Friends of Flarum extensions installed on beta 16, users are visible in the user directory for regular users. Not as admin. It does work if you are logged in as an admin. And, I did double check permissions. They look right.

Incognito mode would help you in this situation with regards to not having to switch between accounts on the same browser by logging in and out 😁 keep your Admin account logged in on one browser and the regular user logged in via Incognito; this is typically what I do to test permissions for any extensions in the event I want to check if they actually work.

Was there anything in your storage/logs at least or are you comfortable with sharing the URL of the site that’s having this issue if it still persists?

Alrighty, I'll just have to sit down this weekend and force myself to deactivate and reactivate.

I suppose this means that on a fresh install this extension has been tested and it works even for a regular user?

Alright, @FriendsOfFlarum, it is in fact this extension. Regular users won't see users if you set the default sort to Recently Online. It also could be that setting the default sort to other things won't work. What I know works is setting the default sort to Flarum's default.

I dug into it and this is caused by the "Always view user last seen time" permission which is set to Admin and Mods by default.

If it's set to members, this will interim fix this issue until we can fix this in a future release.

Enabling debug mode pretty much allowed me to see the error itself:

Ralkage I wouldn't recommend doing that, as it would defeat Flarum's privacy settings. See my explanation in the issue FriendsOfFlarum/user-directory66

That sorting option should simply no longer be used. We should have removed it with the beta 16 update when Flarum dropped it.

I found conflict with Mobile Search Extension "https://extiverse.com/extension/flarumtr/flarum-ext-mobile-search"

Issue in Positioning of Search Bar slides down minor but it is noticeable...

When I disable user directory, it works fine. I am not able to find discussion of Mobile Search so post it here, Please Correct if I am Wrong.
