jordanjay29 ganuonglachanh The wonders of being an admin. Means I can edit the post, copy the code, and cancel the edit before starting my own post to quote it. Hence, normal users can't work around this issue.

clarkwinkelmann It's an issue with the way the quote button copies text ? it does not actually copy the underlying markdown/bbcode. I just proposed a fix (fixing links while at it) here https://github.com/flarum/flarum-ext-mentions/pull/25 No idea when we can expect this to go live however...
