missleading doc page in forum.blade.php, header changes not visible

Hi there, as this is a mix of a help request and an issue report, i decided to not using Github.
I added a Home link to the navbar just like it is in this reference forum.

It also works but about one second after the page is so far loaded, the Home hides.

The comment in vendor/flarum/core/views/forum.blade.php warns to not edit this file and suggest to switch to http://flarum.org/docs/templates but this page is missing and i didn't find any similar page so i assume it is dropped.

I assume it is something in vendor/flarum/core/js/forum as the css looks well.
But after searching around, i didn't understand what could cause this and would be very happy for some help. ?

PS: while i heavily dislike php, i somewhat found back to this project and decided to use it in production, nice job. Ha.

What do you mean, "not using GitHub" ?

Flarum does not use PHP for templating, but javascript and the Mithril framework (which is explained in the docs you link).

forum.blade.php is merely the skeleton to load that Javascript app. Editing it will most likely end up with your content removed by javascript or appearing at the wrong place.

To add stuff to the page, create an extension with Mithril components or use an extension like Header Links.

Oh, I didn't try the link. The one in this file is outdated ? . The extension documentation is now here http://flarum.org/docs/extend/

I misunderstood you, I thought GitHub had something to do with your issue. Of course the forum is the best place for your question ?
