Replacing uploaded images with markdown

I've created a mobile app using @chamath 's Android & iOS Mobile App, but there's a small problem. It's not related to the app. It's related to "file upload" plugin and how it handles uploaded images.

However, I'd love if I can replace automatically all the:

$image-80342a93-16e1-49c3-acd6-4824cd8df819
with something like:
! [image]($image-80342a93-16e1-49c3-acd6-4824cd8df819

So that images will show up way more nicer.
Is there anyway to make this real?

Pretty sure @luceos could show you a hack to accomplish that.
I'd be interested myself as Id rather upload for display and allow users to right click - download image rather than scaling the image and adding a download button.

Update/Edit:
I dont notice this when using imgur as an upload repo. I see markdown for my uploaded images. You might want to try that.

So... some cool hacking would be better for my case.

What does your filetype look like? .? Try reproducing what is shown for the imgur option.

Imgur is sadly no option for me, do you still suggest me to fill it?

No, try making your mime type exclusive to what is prepopulated for imgur.

I think because you have all those other file types included, you couldn't apply the same markdown to all those filetypes aka: !image(file.zip).

So you need to set it for images only. Just my guess. Like I said, for me, it shows mark down exactly how you request.

I believe the Upload extension shows images like that so we can track views and enforce permissions.

We will probably add an option to markdown-embed images as well in the future.

We could probably do some mobile improvements on that download box as well ?

I have been putting in some effort to implement different ways of showing the uploads, this includes the old way of a direct image embed. Other stuff has been keeping me from it, but I'll take some time to finish it up for a release.
