online users (left sidebar)

Hi guys, what do you think about add a box or list with online users in the left sidebar?

On mobile, it would look very funky, though I would either have it numeric or little icons to represent the users avatars and they being online at the time.

I think it can be something soft and don't saturate the page with too much information/images ?

Kind of like Vbulletin? I am not sure if Flarum even has anything on the back-end that will give you the amount of users in an active session. Needs more digging.

do you mean the box with the little avatars? ? I was thinking about something simpler like a list or general information like stats, and when you clic in "online users: number" you can see more details

Well would be as an extension of course ?. I'd imagine it as a small list (configurable by the admin as to how many they wish to show ... 5, 10, 20??? etc showing a miniature represention of the user's avatar that when you hover over gives the username.

0E800 that wouldn't be a bad idea either ?. For mobile though I think I'd prefer it on the lhs pop-out sidebar though, be less clutter.

0E800 Dont need to extend it for that. Someone has already implemented that with my extension too. I don’t think he published it though.
