How reliable is flarum

Hello, Good day everyone.. I am planning on starting a community and after several search, I think it best to go with flarum as its lightweight and loads 100% faster than other message board.

Just like me, I hate website that loads slow and am pretty sure there are lots of people like me..

My major issue now is that there's no stable version yet and am not a developer. With recent post I have looked through in this forum, it's quite obvious that you need to be a techie in order to use flarum. This include installation process, changing some line of codes, forking some github repository and other..

I have my domain and VPS hosting ready, but I would like to know if there is any developer here that's ready to assist a newbie like me in setting up my platform..

I would really appreciate if I can get such help.

But nevertheless I would still like to know if it's advisable I go with flarum for my new forum...

A few things to consider;

Flarum is in beta, but many people, including companies, already use it in production.
Flarum aims to allow you to upgrade to the stable version, if that cannot be automated a guide will be provided to explain what to do. Most likely you can even get paid help to do the upgrade for you.
The Flarum community is kick ass, contains very knowledgeable people and will support you as long as you keep a friendly attitude.
For installation I recommend using direct SSH access and using composer. There are alternative solutions, eg by installing locally and uploading with ftp or the great installer tool pockethold.
Flarum might still need some optimisations for larger communities.
Flarum will change immensely before stable. Aside from the backend side of things, the frontend will also undergo a lot of changes before a stable version is released. As a consequence extensions you install now might no longer be working once that version is released. I recommend using only the extensions you have to or can do without and assert the quality of these extensions by understanding who wrote them.
In case you decide to use an extension you're not completely sure of will be maintained until stable, make sure the extension is holding an open source license so that other developers can fork the work and revive it if necessary.
