Notification of Updates?

It seems like there should be a post somewhere that simply gets updated when a new version is available. Something simple, wherein a message like "Beta X now available, click here for more info" would be posted. That would mean I could just follow that discussion, and use it to know when updates are available.

Is there another way to know of updates? Right now I have to keep coming back to this forum and search for a "Flarum vX.Y.Z-betaN released" post.

The next version of flagrow bazaar will notify you when a bazaar-enabled and connected Flarum installation is out of date, it will do the same for extension you use. ?

luceos Cool. I was actually just hoping for something like a post here on this forum that I could follow.

I like reading about what's going on in the updates, I just don't like hunting around for them... or constantly check if something has happened.

crazedbuzz I see, so without having any Flarum installations I guess there is no way of being informed..

luceos Now you've got it. Creating a new topic that's stickied + locked would be good enough, like "New Release Notifications." Once the "Flarum v.01.0-betaX released" topic is created, add a simple post into the "New Release Notifications" topic. People can get updates by following one thing.

The quickest way to know what's the latest version available is to go to https://github.com/flarum/core/releases I guess. But there's no tag-only notifications available on GitHub so your point is still valid ?
