Shortcodes are possible?

Hi, I want to use flarum to build a community where entities can be blog posts, questions, discussions, shoppable products and wikidata. I have the idea of using shortcodes to generate the content of the products and wiki articles, however I havent found if shortcodes ala wordpress can be created, just bbcodes.

Are bbcodes the way of doing it or shortcodes can be created?

Those would be post types. You'd have to write an extension to do such a thing.

Your question inspires me to document how I plan to write the polls extension (which is also a custom post/discussion type).

luceos Hi luceos, thanks for the reply. I though also in posts type but lately I changed the design to just use the flarum api to generate the title and content. The content would be a bbcode/shortcode that renders the content stored and maintained in another solution, specially estructured data like Wikimedia, woocommerce, etc...

The shortcode will do the api call and then render. My approach is using flarum as a community where people discuss those things instead of makin Flarum work like disqus...
