My general recommendation to the FLARUM founders and supporters.
Let's move to the Cloud! ?
If we take the WordPress as an example, I think they lose a lot of users/market because they didn't move to the cloud in time. But, even the wordpress started their cloud version. But, if we will take a look at the Medium we'll see how they became popular.
Need to create 3 main things:
1. Flarum Cloud Platform with the Monthly Pricing Plans, Admin Panel
2. Apps Marketplace (Extensions/Plugins)
3. Flarum API and Developers (Partners) Environment
Benefits for the FLARUM Founders:
My recommendation is to create the Online Platform of FLARUM with the monthly FREE (limited), Basic (Paid) and Advanced (Paid) plans. Will have money, more human resources & interest to grow the Platform faster and add more features.
Benefits for the FLARUM Users/Clients:
Easy to manage. Concentrate on the growth. People won't need the hosting or to install the Flarum. And I prefer to pay for the cloud platform itself, rather than for the server or hosting company. Will have everything in order to grow the Project/Business. Less time on platform & apps installs and configs, more time on project/business growth.
Benefits for the FLARUM External Developers (Partners such as @FlaGrow, @luceos and others):
Can create their apps and publish to the FLARUM Marketplace. The Apps can be FREE or PAID (one-time payment OR monthly payment). Developers will have money & be interested to develop more and better apps, which will help to the FLARUM users to grow their project/business.
