Imgur API change? Uploads broken

Thankfully when disabling the plugin, all existing uploads are still there in posts.

However, new uploads = error. I found this:

hydnj I'm guessing you're talking about flagrow/upload? If so would you please report this issue on github at https://github.com/flagrow/upload/issues ? Thanks ?

luceos No when I disabled flagrow/upload it left all broken images/plain text. Glad I caught early, had to manually replace all images. Referring to the imgur upload extensions, which thankfully when removed does not break previously uploaded images.

hydnj so you're using the outdated, obsolete imgur-upload extension? And that one is now broken?

luceos The plugin works, all it has to do is upload to imgur and insert compatible markdown code. So unlike the up-to-date and maintained flagrow/upload, it does not leave you with a bunch of broken uploads when removed.

And I'm using this: https://github.com/botfactoryit/flarum-imgur-upload
(but today anything imgur upload is broken, not just these extensions)
...can remove the extension without breaking any existing uploads. If that's obsolete... I'll take it.

I'll revisit flagrow/upload when it does not insert its own code which does not work when extension is removed.

hydnj I'm very late here, but I maintain that fork, and I would not call it obsolete 🙂 the important JavaScript parts were rewritten in the fork, and the extension will be updated for beta 8, probably also adding CTRL/CMD+V support for uploading images.

I would also like to make clear that the comparison with flagrow/upload was meant to be just that, a comparison, and not a confrontation. It's just a different way of doing it ✌️

Had a ticket open with Imgur. Their response:
