Flarum + Ethereum

Just a quick thought, but I was thinking in the future that it would be a pretty huge (and amazing) combination to integrate Ethereum's Whisper messaging with Flarum so that we could choose to all run out own message forums, but allow the forums to communicate with each other and each have our own identity not controlled by any one organization.

Hmm. Never heard of Ethereum can someone give me a TLDR explanation of what it is? A global chat platform or something?

It's like Bitcoin, but for apps. It's a decentralized app platform based on blockchain technology. Apps are called "dapps" (decentralized applications) so that once they're launched, they are not able to be modified or controlled by anyone after that.

Whisper is Ethereum's messaging protocol. It doesn't rely on any organization's servers, kind of like how Bitcoin isn't controlled by anyone.
