Hi community!
I have been using flarum for 1.5 years now and have a fairly large user base, about 10k monthly active users.
When I started out I wrote a lot of informative content to attract new users and this resulted in my forum being in the top 3 results for relevant keywords in my category. Now I have much more users creating better content and my ranking is getting worse every day. I'm at the bottom of the results page and not relevant results are outranking me. Recently I also got a competitor that is much younger, has less activity/backlinks but ranks way better than my forum. They are using discourse.
It looks like google is punishing my flarum instance with more activity. This is a bit contra intuitive to me and I was wondering if someone else experienced a similar problem?
Is there anything I can do to improve my SEO?
