Parse error on line 31 of index.php when trying to install

Hey guys,

I had no probs installing Flarum locally, but when I uploaded the zip to our server, extracted and reloaded the page, I get the following error:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected '[' in /home/sitefolder/public_html/index.php on line 31

I got my host to add the apache url rewriting snippet, but still no go on the parse error.

Any ideas?

You need to be running PHP 5.5+ 🙂

I wish the requirement is bumped to 5.6. Now with php 7 getting ready to emerge and what not.
