I’ll once again chime in and reiterate that especially guest replying is very useful. I’ve seen discussions here questioning guest posting of any kind. Some are very against it. But, from the beginning blogging systems like the big W, offered guest commenting. And I’m sure other forum software offers it. Sometimes you need guests to comment on things to make a small forum feel more alive. You'd require a valid email to post as a guest. It could tie in with the Approvals extension. And, even a reCaptcha extension. Also the Aksimet extension. And then you're tackling at least some spam and making it easy for someone who accidentally stumbled upon your site to comment.
I sometimes can’t get certain social login set ups to work. Or, they'll work for a while then stop working. I’m tired of having to rely on Facebook, Google, Twitter, etc., for easy access. There needs to be guest abilities.
