Nothing SKevo cannot fix with rsync 👼

SKevo orschiro in most cases, it is because of Flarum's cache. Flarum caches translations, and sometimes that bugs out (chances are probably higher due to how FreeFlarum works). I am unsure of any further details, though.

FYI you may always rsync it manually at FreeFlarum's settings ("Fixup" button)

SKevo it seems to remain an issue. Almost each time I enable or disable an extension, I need to manually sync the forum because some elements appear broken.

Is there a better solution to this?

Hi,

I tried to configure an SMTP driven mail service with my FreeFlarum forum, but whether I use ssl or tls connection, I cannot send any message and the log shows always Unable to connect or Connection could not be established with host. I tried with another application and it worked fine. And any port provided by my provider is not working with FreeFlarum. Is it a problem on my side or there's some problems on FreeFlarum's server?

Cubik65536 this is most likely related to limits of Hetzner. Basically they block outgoing ports for new servers to prevent abuse (I can ask for these limits to be removed after I pay the first bill - beginning of the next month). I will post an update here to let everyone know that SMTP works again, but for now you'll have to stick with the default settings:

From (sender): noreply+[yourforumname]@freeflarum.com
Host: 127.0.0.1
Port: 25
Encryption, Username, Password: [empty]

luceos thanks for looking this up for me. So technically users should be able to use port 587, if their hosting allows it (cc. Cubik65536 - please, try to use port 587 and let us know if that worked, thanks)

wolfshards it seems that the library can't read your image properly. Does it happen with every or just one particular image? What format is it in (jpg, png...)? And when did the error appear (e. g.: were you trying to upload a profile picture, or add an image to a post, etc...?)

Post some information here like what you expected to see, but got instead. If you can find any logs in /storage/logs or in your browser console that relate to the issue, add them.

Very slow, full of errors and idk why there some text that change into unormal things.

Rsyncing will fix it. If you tell me your forum name, I can fix it for you (alternatively, you may sync it from FreeFlarum's settings).

Are you using custom E-mail settings? Which part of the sign up process doesn't work? Are any errors displayed?

Why can't you ask now? If you show the website and your intentions they shouldn't have an issue with that.

luceos they have a dedicated form for that, and my account is too new to request it. I could try and reach Hetzner via support, but they state on their website that they do not generally answer questions regarding limit increase.

An unknown component may run the forum into trouble. I searched this and is not from a extension but a decoder that come from has library but idk how.

SKevo Hi, the port 587 did not work, nothing changed from choosing ssl or tls.

Cubik65536 have you tried with no encryption? Currently, encryption does not work at FreeFlarum, and must be left blank

SKevo No encryption works well (with my temporary provider, and as far as I know, my original service provider requires us to use encryption with SMTP). And is FreeFlarum going to support encryption in the future? I'd like to use encryption and go back to my original service provider when it's possible.

Cubik65536 yes, I will need to make adjustments to our mail configuration. That will happen along with a larger FreeFlarum update, which will be under development this summer and should hopefully release before September

SKevo Custom email was not used for the process. Is just loop loading in sign-up.

And another thing, i tried the fix-up button 2-3 times and is not worked.

I tried 2-3 times is broke. I tried 2-3 times of clear cache and re-synch. And is not full fixed in the way.

Update: Broke everytimes.
