When I go to my forum ( https://otherspect.flarum.cloud/ ), it does not appear at all the way it used to. There is also this error at the top: "Something went wrong while trying to load the full version of this site. Try hard-refreshing this page to fix the error."

And I cannot log in. If I click on one of the forum threads, it tells me I have to log in to read more, but the login link does not work. I can log into my account at https://freeflarum.com/ , but I cannot log into my forum from the forum address, or even load it properly. Could my forum have been hijacked somehow??? It seems completely broken. I sent a screenshot of this to info@freeflarum.com a few days ago but have gotten no reply.

gaines apologies, the E-mail wasn't forwarded to my inbox. I recently had to switch my address fot FreeFlarum mails because I wasn't receiving E-mails from cron. I will look into the logs to check for further errors. Could you tell me the date and time when did you send the E-mail, please? It will be easier for me to filter it in the logs

As for your forum, it is likely a client side error because there are no server-side logs for your forum. I've tried to clear your cache and mugrate your database, with no luck. Because I am on my mobile right now, I am unable to check your console for JavaScript errors, so if you are able to, please check that. I am guessing that it is because of an extension - are there any that you've recently enabled?

I am unable to check for anything on my "console" because I cannot even log into my forum, from any browser. I've tried several. I did not implement any JavaScript other that anything the addons/extensions might have added. I've only included addons/extensions that are in your normal list.

gaines you do not need to log in, just open developer tools. Or, you can wait a few hours and I will fix it for you - sorry that I am unable to look into this more in-detail right now

It's okay! I'm not complaining at all :-) And I appreciate all your help! I'll see what I can figure out in developer tools. I assume I access that from https://freeflarum.com/ somehow? I couldn't find it. I'm not in a hurry though.

gaines it seems like you're not experienced with that, so I recommend to wait. I should be available in 2 or 3 hours

            For now: https://balsamiq.com/support/faqs/browserconsole/

Edit: I've also tried to tweak the mail settings for the past hour, or at least what I could. It just seems to me that Gmail refused the message (mail from FreeFlarum is forwarded to our Gmail inboxes). We can't really modify that behavior, sorry for the inconveniences

gaines fixed, for now. The issue was in the FoF Best Answer extension (I've reported it here, if you want to keep track of it or provide additional details that might help). I've disabled the extension for you, so the forum should be working again. Note that I've also enabled the Tags extension, since I suspected that it was because it wasn't enabled prior to that extension, and that Best Answer might depend on it.

hey guys, is there any way to replace the main page on FreeFlarum to a customizable homepage, like an extension or something? (not just a forum list page)

Because I wasn't even sure if this behavior or feature is even available on self-hosted flarum versions... 😅
              many thanks in advance. 👏

                Admin > Basics > Homepage (3rd)

Here you can select your homepage from a list of available choices. Note that forging a custom API request allows you to put any route as a homepage, but that's perhaps too advanced

AA-Admiral Because I wasn't even sure if this behavior or feature is even available on self-hosted flarum versions... 😅

I see no reason why it shouldn't be available - it's a core feature. Remember that FreeFlarum uses Flarum, which is the forum software that we all love and use. We made no core changes (apart from extenders to display footer, etc.), and it is identical to the version that this forum is using (except for different extensions)

For those wondering why FreeFlarum was down for a bit, it was related to a recent incident at our hosting - this is fixed and all forums should be accessible normally now. This was just a very small outage, but if your forum is inaccessible due to an error (e. g. server died in middle of a database transaction), please contact us

Hello guys, I got some problems with making poll with multiple choices, we are making a survey, to our client and we need him to make choice with our functional. But i can't find where i can make a poll with multiple choice, the only one stays in active state. We need checkboxes with saved results of poll.

oontsa I don't know how to do that, sorry. I think that FoF Polls doesn't support multiple choices, but I might be wrong

Also, I've seen your question in another discussion. Because this isn't related to FreeFlarum, I'd suggest to keep this in your other discussion instead. Don't worry, someone who knows more will eventually reply with further information

by the way, my mail (with SMTP driver) does not work correct. I am looked at similar topics and make a setup like they did. But still no effect. I am using Yandex mail and opened up IMAP mail exchange. Do you know something about it?

oontsa I don't know, I'd need to see your SMTP settings in order to learn more. I don't know your forum name, but it might also be worth looking at your logs for errors

oontsa smtp is not related to imap at all , you can configure it like below

                      Server Address: smtp.yandex.com
Username: Your Yandex Mail address (e.g. whatever comes before @yandex.com)
                      Password: Your Yandex Mail password
Alternatice Port Number: 465 (With SSL/TLS)
                      Authentication: Required

Remember , sending Limits is 500 Emails a day
