Do you support to access my data via API?
Do you support embed?
Do I need to upgrade to any premium plan? How much it would cost?
Can we expect 99% uptime?

Sorry for too many questions, I thought it would be easy for you to answer if I ask all questions in a single post 🙂 @SKevo

    There is no premum plan. Donation helps remove the footer.

    based on my experience, there is a bit of downtime that comes with maintenance. There is no uptime guarantee provided.

    I have not seen API access or any embed support so far.

    Not sure what kind of API are you referring to, but FreeFlarum has simple REST API to list all or specific forums, validate forum name, etc... There's no documentation for that, but it'll be no problem to me to answer any questions that you might have about it, since I developed it. As for Flarum, it has a rich REST API built-in, but that's not related to FreeFlarum

    Do you support embed?

    AFAIK Flarum has the Embed extension that allows you to use iFrames with your forum. But that's again not directly related to FreeFlarum, which has no support for embeds (because it doesn't need to, unless you want to frame the main FreeFlarum website)

    FreeFlarum is free and will always stay free. We are not a company, nor a commercial entity. There will be no paid plans, but donations are always welcome.

    There are no statistics, but we do our best to ensure that FreeFlarum stays always online.

    However I must say that I am slightly concerned about your questions in a way that FreeFlarum might not be ideal for your needs. It is operated in our spare time, and while fixes and updates are published relatively fast, we cannot guarantee that it is at a level that meets your expectations. You asked about questions that are related more to Flarum rather than FreeFlarum (please note that FreeFlarum and Flarum are two completely different platforms unrelated to each other).

    I therefore assume that you are looking at us more from a commercial point of view. In my opinion I think that self-hosting your forum might be the best option for you. If you lack the resources to do so, please consider checking out the Blomstra service, which is a paid and professional Flarum hosting provider, operated by @luceos)

            SKevo thanks for the swift response, I'm moving to Gatsby static pages Hari so I need to host my existing flarum somewhere, currently hosting on my own server. not sure about the extension support freeflarum is currently offering, so I wanted to make sure do you support embed, move posts and other extensions or not .

            I understand freeflarum is more like crowd funding and managed flarum. I thought you guys are offering some kind of premium services too (I was wrong) . Blomastra is super expensive, it's better to buy a cloudways droplet and mange there.

                    A lot of threads on my forum appear corrupted. No posts are showing?

                      I've found the following JavaScript error in the console, which is related to the "Achievements" extension:

                      Disabling that extension makes the error disappear, and the threads seem to function normally. It seems to be a bug in malago-achievements.show-post-footer. I've reported it here

                        I've updated all forums to version v1.1.1 of Flarum, along with all extensions. It was a small patch, and it very likely won't break anything. In any case, please let us know if something goes wrong after the update.

                        I've updated all extensions and included a few new ones (Custom BBCode Buttons, TwoFactor Authentication and nes theme).

                        Some forums might appear to be down (either a 5xx status code or message "Flarum encountered boot error [...]" will be shown). This is because all forums need to be synchronized with our main skeleton forum (as usual). This should take ~3 hours, depends on the amount of forums (but if you want your forum to work sooner, navigate to https://freeflarum.com/settings/forum_settings and hit "Fixup your forum" button).

                        Speaking of amount of forums, the disk usage has reached 95 % now (4013 forums are currently being hosted + all daily backups of them). We will need to clean the inactive ones soon, and remove currently archived forums. This means that if you have a forum that was archived by us and/or you'd like to reactivate a forum, now it is the right time to do so. I plan to purge old archived forums tomorrow at around this time, then archive currently inactive ones (so these will not be removed permanently just yet).

                              AowVN I've synchronized your forum, so it works again now. Because your FreeFlarum password to log into settings is same as your admin password of your forum, you should be able to reset it by using the "Forgot password?" feature in the login modal at your forum

                                  All inactive forums have been now cleaned up and archived, which resulted in +20 % free storage space for FreeFlarum.
                                  We will do some more cleanup to free even more space sometime later, which won't remove any online forums.

                                  Apologies for a few small downtimes today - it was all because of the cleanup. FreeFlarum is fully operational again now. However, if you encounter any issues, please let us know.
