I dunno but man oh man... I miss Flarum. I was deciding whether to build a community with XenForo or Flarum. Went with Xenforo... but damn Flarum is still so freakin' sexy. I love it. Gah.

That's enough for me to make my decision. What you get out of Flarum is more than any other free forum software in my opinion, at least in my application of it.

Xenforo is really awesome forum software, it has so many features and some are epic, for example you can copy and paste a screenshot or picture and it'll automatically upload it and display in the post. The thing is, the community I have needs to be faster paced and more interactive which Flarum ticks the boxes for... when I found out replies appear automatically that is EPIC!

I am not a developer as such but I am not bad with PHP. I will look at creating something to import my users from xenforo to flarum... literally just usernames, emails and their password so they don't have to rejoin. Content wise we will start again. Shouldn't be too difficult...

If it goes well then I'm all in on flarum... I would love to develop some addons one day.

PomTom Somebody should write generic instructions for writing custom importers, then I am sure lots of importers will be contributed.

Actually my flagrow/upload extension allows you to paste into the composer, as well as drag and drop and classic file upload. Isn't that what you're looking for?

Prosperous For me, Flarum looks so beautiful and nice to use! I do forum stuff since vBulletin 3.8.4 and this is one of the most beautiful piece of software I've ever seen.

duman The funny thing is, back in its day, vBulletin looked pretty amazing. Especially with some of the styles people made for it. Design marches on.

jordanjay29 exactly, I can't remember the company name but they made some amazing themes. I used to have a blue really modern looking theme.

Also I loved vBulletin so much because it was extremely fast. As you said, time goes on and after all those years, here's my new favourite. ?

I keep coming back time and time again... it is inevitable that I switch to Flarum at some point... the community I run is kinda slow with traditional forum stuff, I love how flarum is "live"... we need that live element

Quick question guys, is it possible to have a view of the threads in a specific tag showing on the left whilst viewing a thread? So for example whilst viewing this thread and the live posts, I could see the new threads being posted live in a left hand column?

PomTom Hover over the [<] button on the top left, and click the pin button when the sidebar appears. This only works on desktop.
