rewrite looks not work

I can login to the home page after installation, but I can't make the 1st post since I keep got below error:

forum-1f2c3c53.js:596 POST http://localhost/forum/api/discussions 404 (Not Found)

I have change the apache2.conf as instructed , is there any other configration issue I 'm not aware ?

another thing is if I click "Administration" menu under the profile and the Settings I got an error:

Not Found

The requested URL /forum/admin was not found on this server.

Apache/2.4.27 (Ubuntu) Server at localhost Port 80

From http://flarum.org/docs/installation/:

confirm with your hosting provider that mod_rewrite is enabled.

Also, the current .htaccess rules may not allow installation in a sub-directory. Perhaps adding this to the .htaccess file might work (just after RewriteEngine on)

and I move all the file to the /var/www/html the root path of the site, but I still not the error 404, I cna't login now.

So you are working with a local install (localhost)?

Is http://localhost/forum/ the adress of your forum?

If you are working on a server or webspace, probably with your own domain, you need to write that address into the config.php, e.g.:

'url' => 'http://your.domain/flarum',

... if that's the root of your forum.
