How about storing all the notifications?

I would like to store all the notifications on Flarum as I have a bad habbit of missing some notification in between. This would help me get back to previously missed notifications or even just to check some old notifications which I got. The same thing is also in Facebook and it allows you to see your previous notifications all at once.

This is definitely a good feature as an extension because it'll be hard on database size so only interested people would use this extension.

Hmm..I think the notifications are already saved in the db. I can still see notifications from 2 months ago. About the database size , you could set up a cron job to remove old notifications every week or so.

I'm not sure but I believe currently notifications are kept a long time, except only one notification of each kind is kept for every discussion. For example only the latest "liked", "replied" and "posted" message is kept in the notification area.

It would probably be possible to prevent deleting these with an extension, so you keep every single notification that was ever shown to you.

clarkwinkelmann yeah that's the idea. To show and store every notification ever or for the last week/month. This would be nice addition to look at some old notifications.

clarkwinkelmann Actually every individual notification is kept in the database, then the API groups them together, and finally they're grouped under their respective discussions on the front-end. We're planning to simplify this in the future.
