I'm currently active on a discourse-type forum and here on Flarum, and I do observe that theirs is much snappier and quicker, even when performing a simple search. Flarum takes way too much time "thinking" about what search results to show.
Is it the engine that Flarum uses that is slow or is it the architecture? If it's the latter, then are you planning on improving it?
