I want to ask, how many emoticons did you added in this forum...and may i know it?

You can install an extension named Emoji Picker which shows all available emojies and allows to insert them with a mouse click.

The second way to insert an emoji is to just type a colon and then guessing (or remembering) its name. If you e.g. type :griyou will have a popup offering (beneath others):grin: ?, :grinning: ? and :grimacing: ?.

Wondering, is there a dedicated button to see all the available emojis when writing a comment or smth? Or people just like me, type them on the go?

The Emoji Picker and Flarum are build around the EmojiOne emojis.

If you don't have the Emoji Picker extension on your forum you can check the list of shortcodes at https://emoji.codes/ which is managed by EmojiOne authors. The list might differ a bit because Flarum uses a slightly older version of the emojis.

You'd need to identify which part needs updating, and the last one is the most complicated to update:

The emoji list when typing : is hard-coded in flarum/flarum-ext-emoji
The emoji list from my Emoji Picker is loaded from the EmojiOne version used by the EmojiOneArea plugin
The emoji list actually rendered by the post formatter is handler by s9e/text-formatter, and Flarum is several versions behind that dependency. Maybe beta8 will bring it up to date, along with new emojis
