grant user permission less than admin privilege

I would like to grant permission for user i.e less privilege compared to administrator like approve new registered user and assign or tag to the specific community group. In advance thank you for your help

Go to the admin panel and choose Permissions.

There you can create user groups and assign certain privileges to each group. Furthermore you can decide, which privileges should be granted to a certain group at which tag.

Pollux Yes i did that but i want to delegate to other person to do accept for the incoming new user registered. Thank you

You can set the permission for Manually Activate Users and Approve posts. If you want to grant this permission independently from other user roles, just setup a special user group 'New User Acceptor' (you don't need to call it that way ?) and add this group to the users in question.

Unfortunately (as far as I know) there is no way to hide user groups from showing up to other users. If that's important for you there is a way around this: assign a standard user group to everyone and create a second user group with the same name and appearance with this additional privilege. Only you, the admin, know the difference.

Sadly there is no permission separation for admins. What you could do is install hyn/default-group to assign new users to a specific group. This is automated though. Otherwise I see no alternative and giving someone else admin is the only way to move forward.
