Question for the devs

Would you have interest in having an entire community of software devs and wonderful beta testers?

I am part of a community that is currently actively looking for a replacement for our current forum software...due to reasons. We were part of the beta test of our current forum software and were pretty key in finding a lot of the early bugs and XSS vulnerabilities.

While we are self-described as a "wretched hive of scum and villainy", we are all well-intentioned and really like what we see with Flarum. We would love to discuss a possible move to Flarum with the primary devs, and you would not only be getting an entire userbase of testers, but quite a few PHP devs that would likely help with development if you are interested.

While what PolyGeekery says may scare you off, we do know how to behave ourselves when we are away from home. We keep our … unconventional behavior restricted to our forum. When we venture out, we do our best to follow the guidelines of the community we are interacting with.

If you ever come visit us, just be prepared with a thick skin. 😉

PolyGeekery Yep, just install Flarum on your end and say to your userbase to use it. Github is here when you find bugs, go ! 😉

Sounds good. That would mean you need help with migrating your forum, right? It may be a bit early for that at this time, but we certainly need lots of test data to get our importer tools up and running. What software are you using currently?

Well, migration help will depend. As I said, we are a forum of software devs, so we can probably handle most of the migration ourselves. Would there be help if we have any questions about data migration?

We are currently on Discourse and we have several talented individuals that would probably be easily talked in to helping work out a delineated process for importing data to your platform.

We were told to move off of our current system and many of us banned from their bug reporting site. Many find this unacceptable.

Question to the devs here, you say on you download page to not use this in production.

Does this still hold, because if used as a replacement it would technically be production...

Also question for the devs:
How well does the system scale? We may or may not have multiple topics with > 10k posts and one with >60k. Is this a thing that would work with your forum?
