Two years ago I’ve installed Flarum for our community that consists of people buying our courses.
I’ve never regretted that Flarum is awesome and perfect for building a vibrant community.
The biggest challenge, however, was preventing non-course members to access/sign-up for the forum. Flarum didn’t offer a native way to do that, so I installed Davis’ extension, giving every new member an access code they could sign-up with.
This has created lots of problems. One of which was not being able to update (still on 0.1.0-beta.6) and thus having to endure lots of bugs of the early version.
How about the new version(s) of Flarum. Is there a way to handle this problem better?
