Looking at using flarum

Hi all so I am quite familiar with the traditional forum software like IPS, xenforo, phpbb and mybb.

I have a forum running on ips at the moment and flarum has really caught my eye.

I have several questions now!
How easy is this to install is it like other forum software or is it a github thing like discourse?

Are there plugins and themes?
Can we show ads on the forums and how SEO friendly is it?

Is there no image upload feature?

GavinPedley The installation process can be quite challenging, depending on how experienced you are with Composer, and SSH. There are some extensions available, but there may not be the extension you want. The dev team hasn't spent much time on SEO, so you may not be able to get on google right away.

Frink I wouldn't say the installation is challenging, so long as you have a bit of technical skill and have a VPS server or better.

At this time, SEO is a lower priority due to the devs focusing on getting Flarum stable, but there is a Sitemap extension that can help. A simple extension could be written to add meta values as well.

You can ad ads on your community site, but be aware. Because as one user said before, it's against TOS of Adsense.
Because flarum is refreshing site, while you're reading posts.

I do not see how it is against tos. As it is not actually refreshing. Page stay loaded, so i do not see a problem there. Maybe i am wrong.
About op post, as pretty much everything is answered, just to say that for themes u can check them at resources>styles tag.
