So sorry for the issue @Kryonoglou.

Though, it's not a problem related to the extension. As the Material Extension is the first extension that is a theme for Flarum, you're just seeing this for the first time.

In the future, with themes packed as extensions, this issue will become more popular around Flarum users but as @Ralkage suggested, ReFlar's UnCache extension solves this cache issue easily without those terminal commands.

MikeJones @arda needs to update this for Beta 8 standards as a few improvements can be made.

Changes that should be made:

  • Remove locale folder and file because the en.yml locale is basically empty and is a waste of space.
  • Make changes on par with Beta 8 such as dropping the AddClientAssets class and add what you need to the new extend.php file.
  • You can use the new Content extender as well to add your external CSS and JS references.
  • Thats all I can think of for now, other than those million issues opened needing to be closed or revisited 🤣

      Hi MikeJones we thank you for listing your concern, I am Nathan, however I am unable to remember my login details for Flarum so I created a new account. I will begin working on the theme shortly, but not at this minute. You should expect to have the Material Theme to contain more configuration options, be compatible with the latest of Flarum, and newly coded and designed.

          Ralkage I am looking into the issues and why one major one is occurring with layout, some how I managed to break some of it, while working on the new grid. If we restart the project layout files (CSS, LESS, SASS, and SCSS) then I should be able to rule out the issue. We apologize for the inconvenience and incompatibility that has grown on the Extum Material Design Theme, however this was brought on by challenges of other projects.

                    📣 Important News!

                    We're working on a compatible version of the Material extension that should be ready in a few days.

                    Our focus will be to make the Material extension compatible as it has the most demand. Other extensions developed under Extum will have compatibility updates very soon.

                    Expected Roadmap

                    1. Make all current extensions under Extum compatible with the latest versions of Flarum, starting with the Material theme.
                    2. Improve current theme to be more cleaner.
                    3. Add the option to change between the new Material Design (Google's theme) and the old (current) Material Design.
                    4. More to come?

                    As a strategic change to Extum, we will be focusing on developing themes for Flarum, as the community needs more of that.

                          After we release the compatibility update, we're going to work a lot on the theme itself, as it's not good as it's supposed to be based on Material guidelines.

                          Opacity, shadow and gradient. That is what I have seen in the fluent design. Shadows are a bit thick, gradients are fine. Opacity is see through enough with a blur.
