Moving checkboxes over to extension icons

So this idea was around my head for the past few days and finally had the time to post it here.

I suggest we move the checkboxes that we have to disable/enable extensions ON the extension icons for space and better usability.

The current checkboxes next to the extension titles will be removed and will appear (with a custom style) on the extension icon when the user hovers on it, on mobile it can be triggered by just clicking on it with a sign for users.

This way we can also give the checkboxes a custom style like the switches we have.

arda I can see the appeal but I don't think it justifies the work. How often do you realistically visit the extensions page?

Looks like a typical job for an extension/theme for me. In its current form I think it's more clear which extensions are enabled or not. If you move the checkbox above the icon then you will need another indicator (greyed out is not very visible). Also even if the checkbox stays visible above the icon it might be harder to see depending on what the icon looks like, or you might hide part of the icon if using an opaque checkbox.

Is the PR a separate idea or does it go with the checkbox over icon proposition ?

I don't see the link between customization and the default placement ? You could switch the native checkbox with a custom one without changing the placement of the checkbox (?)

100% agree with you on this. I am not enabling and changing extensions that much for this to matter at this time. Maybe like way down the line when FLarum is officially released and there is just clean up being done.

It's something separate from the idea, but if we see the PR merged, this idea will fit with it as we're going to see a smaller icon size.

The extension name and the extension version will be grayed out, isn't that enough for users to understand if the extension is disabled or not? Oh, also the extension icon.

As I told, the checkbox will only become visible when the user hovers on it, so we will see the extension icon in all conditions.

That would be awesome but this is a proposal for the core, so an extension or a theme would be useless, but can be useful if the core developers refuse the offer.
