where can I remove post counts from private discussions?
Hello,
apparently this extension is broken and breaks discussions when a deleted user is in it.
When i have the extension enabled and go on a discussion with a delete user its going crazy and doubles the navbar and triples the posts, when i disable it it shows the content of the deleted user just fine.
Here is the error when its enabled.
Kind Regards. @datitisev
along with many other extensions, I cannot tick this after installation...
I have:
Its not working with last beta 15
Any chance for an update?
I will discuss with the team if we want to either:
1). Move this over to FoF for maintenance
2). Deprecate this extension due to many reasons (one being ongoing maintenance)
3). Proceed with step 1, offer a final update to support beta 15, and proceed with step 2
Honestly, it was long discussed to abandon this extension due to it's inflexibility and a ton of refactoring/improvements needed to support newer features (such as points criteria for leveling).
Trombert I actually envisioned Level Ranks being an extension of Gamification and Gamification having a core that could add various other features as extensions such as leaderboards, ranks, etcs The more we oversimply an extension and add onto it, the harder it becomes to maintain it. After many years of using Vbulletin and Xenforo, I noticed that add-on/plug-in developers stopped maintaining their popular add-on/plug-in's is due to the fact that it went far past it's scope or added too much features to keep up with maintenance.
Ralkage I understand it, besides Flarum has not been an easy platform in this sense these years (for logical reasons) with so many changes in the Flarum core... We'll see if finally with beta 16 begins the stability that has been so much talked about, and disappears or decreases that constant workload for extension developers with each new version that conditions the development of the extensions themselves.
Regardless of this, as you rightly say, it is necessary to think about and control the increase in the complexity of the extensions, as there will come a point where simply updating the extension for a new version could be a titanic task of months, months in which new versions will be released and so on in a loop.
Trombert To be honest, we're likely to see big improvements in stability already from b15 onwards: since b14 updated to mithril 2 and b15 introduced almost all the extenders that are planned to replace events, a lot of the API should be quite solid. That being said, we're really hoping to stick to responsible versioning after stable, with breaking changes only on major versions.
Ralkage 2). Deprecate this extension due to many reasons (one being ongoing maintenance)
I believe this is reasonable, the new Trust Levels extension by askvortsov functions similarly and is a lot better than this one in my opinion.
It seems not working. Settings button doesn't make anything happens and the thread pages appear glitched.
hope someone will give this life
