It's almost been a year since this discussion was last replied to, but I am still quite curious about what kind of ideas for extensions you lovely people are waiting for to be developed 🤗

Both big and small ideas are welcomed, especially to us newbies who are new to code and need to take baby steps towards progression 🙂

tolgaaaltas private messaging is the byobu extension, and there is also an extension for polls (goes by the same name)

tolgaaaltas not sure I understand ? You don't want to hear from me even though I have them working on my install, worked out the issues and posted the solution for each issue on here ?

    Very strange. Up to you.

Well be great if simple users with some permissions will can block some users in their themes only

    FjbBatam For this?

luceos Okay, bring it on; what are the top three features you would absolutely need Flarum to have.

You'll have to post your own top three to update it. Let's keep the off-topic comments to a minimum, feel free to start your own discussions. 😉

For our users a (1.) private messaging system like in the old days would be good. Like an E-Mail inbox; not like private discussions.
(2.) User-Management (because the old extension is abandoned sind beta8 i thnk)
    (3.) User-Gallery (See: https://discuss.flarum.org/d/19320-image-gallery/10)

    • full backup and one-click upgrade tool
    • user management tool (with improved options like grouping etc.)
    • newsletter/weekly, monthly... digest

Any mass email functionality is now closer in range due to the Queue functionality we introduced in beta 10, which we'll fine tune in upcoming releases 👍

      [deleted] full backup

There's a premium extension for that, I wrote it and can't promote it here 🤫

A smart email import mechanism that could parse the hideous mess and repetition in a history of email conversations and turn them into neat flarum discussion threads while set up accounts and emailing people to let them know.

It would probably need some staging mechanism to approve things as it would be very fragile but I've got a community of about 50 people currently chatting by email about really important COVID-19 research and it's all hidden away in email instead of in a public open science forum...
