Edit (three dots button)

As for now, the three dot button who lead to the possibility of editing a post is only located at the bottom of the post.

When editing a big post with a lot of images and text, i find it really painful to be in the need of going to the very end of it, clicking the three dot button and be able to edit the post. What about making it possible from the top of the post or maybe from the right sidebar ?

Plenty of spaces in the "reply" drop down button.

Hmm... what about making that bar stick to the bottom of the screen when a post is too long?
We might even be able to do this in a "graceful degradation" kind of way by using the new position: sticky property (that was only recently added to Firefox)...

Or you could duplicate it (.Post-actions) on top and at the bottom of a post IF the post is longer than the screen height.

IP.Board runs exactly like this with the editing and quoting options found at the bottom of the post, whereas phpBB forums have it at the top. This is basically a preference thing but implementing some sort of "fix" as @Franz has suggested would be beneficial to the topic/post creator.

Prosperous To be honest, phpBB's design ethos is almost antithetical to every single other forum software out there. Postbit on the right, post options at the top of the post, forum ID in the thread URL, etc. They always seemed to me like the Apple of forum softwares, doing it their way and happy in the own little world (and somehow people flock to them). *shrugs*

I've never really thought about them like that actually. There are a lot of things about phpBB that turn me right off which is why I haven't used the software for a couple of years now.
