I would be highly interested in having this plugin work with OpenStreetMap / HumanitarianOpenStreetMap e.g. via the leaflet library:

It should be possible to add a point/location manually (address-lookup isn't needed) and also support browser location.
In addition it would be great if there was a new view that would allow showing posts on an overview map, e.g. if you are browsing on Flarum, you can click view on map and all posts (i.e. the first ones that started a discussion when in a tag view, or all post inside a discussion when clicking it inside a thread) would show up with markers on the map that link back to the post. Bonus points if the marker has a pop-up that previews the post ?
