The only thing I don't like about infinite scroll is the fact that in a bigger topic it's hard to get to a specific post. I think traditional pagination should be availabel via an extention.

Maybe add a bookmark feature for users So you can come back to a specific point in a thread. I am talking about a manual bookmark not an auto one of Just the latest read as it already does

SezerYaar Classic pagination is great for ninja users and useful for big threads/forums.

So I would like to have the option of choice on the admin panel.

Ex: Select your thread pagination preference:

      1) Infinite Scroll
      2) Classic Pagination

      Everybody happy!

PS: Is not necesary that Classic Pagination stay on footer, it could be on the same place that the-bar-post (on the right).

The url already includes the post number as you scroll. If you share that url you will land at the same point of the discussion.

And if you click the post date, Flarum will give you the url to that specific post.

You could add that url to your bookmarks (in browser). Adding in-forum bookmarks (that's what I believe you suggest ?) shouldn't be too hard as an extension, but I don't really see the point, because without any additional feature it's not really better than browser bookmarks.

Infinite scroll is the way the web is going and Flarum has a pretty good implementation of it.. better than discourse's!
Referencing a specific page is totally possible. You'll notice that the URL bar contains the page you're on.

        My only complaint is this.
It would be nice if there was a marker that indicated what date the post started and when it ended.

The starting marker could be a gray marker that is revealed once you scroll past it with the orange bar.
The end market could show the last date and dissapear as the orange bar moves over it, then reappear when the user scrolls up.

        👍

clarkwinkelmann I agree with your notion there, but on mobile it is very, very confusing, to have the scrollbar on the side not include all posts.

Sorry for posting after a significant amount of time.
