I've always been a fan of transparency, so here it goes.
Franz and I are pushing beta 9 out. We're hoping to gain some momentum in development so we can tackle a new release every other month. Beta 9 was scheduled for the end of January, a milestone we missed. Nevertheless we are going into internal testing and writing the release notes at this point, so that means that a new release will be available soon.
I'm sorry for our lack of communication (again). This year we'll do our best to improve in that area, feel free to let us know when we fall into this old, terrible habit of a closed development train.
