Display full date in post header of posts older than 30 days

How about show date longer then 15 days as May '15 2015 or Oct '15 2013?

Just to clarify things a bit:

The expression Oct '15 does not mean the fifteenth day of October, it means October 2015. The apostrophe is there to hold the place of the first two digits, which are abbreviated. So there's no need to add the year. 😉

Franz It looks like it's exactly 30 days. You can see it in matpompii's imgur extension discussion right now, when it tips over to 30+ days you go from A month ago to Dec '15.

Dominion That's why I said it always confuse me. Why we can't just put Oct. 13, 2015? The information is already there, but why we want an additional click to that to the user?

The click shows the day of the week and the time, but I don't think anyone care more about the day than the date.

just my 2 cents though.

I agree, it might be a good idea to display the full date in the post header for posts older than 30 days.

The abbreviated month name and two-digit year is necessary on the index page because it's important to keep things compact there. But above the post, there's plenty of room for the full date.

Mind if I change the title of this discussion to make it clear what's being suggested?

I too thought that the way it is displayed was confusing at first but after thinking about the necessity of having a compact and minimal forum it all made sense. The only turn down for this is that hover actions only work for mouse enabled devices.

<1 year = Day Month, no year
>1 year = Day Month Year
