Jasper this doesn't appear to be the result of a successful update. Can you try the Beta 8.1 update instructions again?

composer update php flarum migrate php flarum cache:clear

When I use the composer update command, other extensions are updated to the latest version, only core is 8.0, my 8.0 was installed from scratch.

Can you hard refresh (CTRL+F5) your browser?

If that doesn't change, then you're still at Beta 8.

Jasper Is this upgrade a testing or backed up version of your Beta 7 site? If not, I suggest you back up your site as it is (make copies of the database, assets folder, config.php and composer.lock/composer.json files).

After doing that, can you try the following command:

composer clear-cache
composer update flarum/core

And paste the terminal log of that command's output here?
