Flarum with categories :)

I have modified two files (5-10 lines) of the vendor/flarum/core files. The first attempts (pages extension, ...) were completely discarded. I also created the following tags: DE, EN, solved, request and bugs. I use these tags for the icons. The "start discussion" button is only visible in the subcategories. The original Flarum view was unfortunately too confusing for our customers.

I use flarum beta7.x but these small changes can also be used in the latest flarum version.

I think I found a small Bug. When you click on the arrow in the top left corner, while you're in a discussion, you are directed to an empty page:

MathieuM given that Koseki is currently not working for Beta8 this is an interesting alternative. Also, worth looking st the CSS to see about potential changes that could be made to Koseki to suit your individual needs

Well, Koseki is given to work with beta 8... I didn't give a try but it should work.

MathieuM Koseki currently has a nasty JS but causing failure of the admin panel. There’s an issue for it here: ReFlar/koseki15

its a difficult issue that the team are struggling with, though I believe that the extension may potentially be rewritten.

I don't have time right now. But I will post the changes in two weeks. I didn't like the Koseki. That's why I made my own changes.

Just don't modify directly on your flarum files. Because a lot of changes coming in the update from beta 7 to beta 8.

katos I believe that the extension may potentially be rewritten.

I've taken over the responsibility (again) over koseki. The extension I am working on for my (new) employer Bokt will be released under its own name bokt/flarum-categories. Once it's done, Koseki will be abandoned in favor of this new extension, this was discussed with team reflar.

The idea behind the bokt version is to offer more flexibility and an even deeper categorial layout.

No estimation of release yet.

Is there any hope for this to come to life? I am kind of uneasy to settle for tags which aren't the cleanest solution for my use case.
