Forked from flarum-auth-facebook with hope for easy compatibility fixes for new Flarum releases.

This extension enables Google Sign In and Sign up.

Compatible with Flarum Beta 8.x

Installation

composer require saleksin/flarum-auth-google

Updating

composer update saleksin/flarum-auth-google

Configuration

Enable the extension under the extensions tab in the admin area.
Google sign in tutorial: https://developers.google.com/identity/sign-in/web/sign-in you can find there link to configure a project. After that you can modify it's configuration from https://console.developers.google.com
Make sure to configure app ID and secret in extension settings.

I am just wondering if there is a way to disable confirmation email for users signing up through Google?
Since Google emails are already verified, confirmation is unnecessary.

Staszek Hi, i have those errors when i try to enable this extension.

It is my first extension, so I would be grateful for any hints on improving it, including Github/Packagist workflow stuff. For example, for some reason on Github page there is icon that tells about latest stable version, and it is not pointing on stable, but devel release. Luckliy, when one wants to install this extension, proper version will be installed.

Pirat Will be not. There is no point in creating extensions for 7.2, and I think that it would be action against Flarum progress. Everyone should upgrade their forum as soon as possible.
There is abandoned extension for 7.2 that gives you Google login, if you are still not upgrading for some reason.

By the way, I was wondering why this google oauth login is not available together with other flarum core login like facebook, twitter and github, which are made available by Flarum default install.

AnoopSharma There are about 30 installs so far, and no one complained, so it seems it just works 🙂

Staszek it works perfectly bro in web browser, but i have some problem when try login via google in APK. I think there are different app id and secret id with app for web and apk.

Why don't you use log mail driver in local env? I can't help you with SMTP, because I don't know your server settings.
Besides, SMTP has nothing to do with Google Login. If you have problems with it, please start a new discussion.

@maruco You mean Android App?
Maybe you could try changing useragent in app?🙂 If it doesn't work, then it probably will be more difficult, as there may be different mechanism for Android Apps. I'm not exactly sure how it works, so I would have to investigate on it.

It is in less/forum.less file, defined in css code. I know it may not be as in Google spec. If you can adjust it to Google requirements, I would happily include it. You can create fork, and make pull request.
