Alkir Yes, for future reference every extension that works on beta 8, will work for the most part on beta 9. Unlike beta 8, there were no major breaking changes.

Leanna if you are sharing an error from the log file, it's missing the first few lines. There should be a line without a number with the actual error message above the Stacktrace.

clarkwinkelmann I think the cause is the same as the previously reported errors. The extension doesn't deal with delated users. I guess @JasperVriends just got busy and never came around to fix it.

@Alkir Thank you for the screenshots! I've found out what the issue was, it was related to two other issues on GitHub.

Update 1.0.2

Changelog:

This update requires Flarum beta 9
Since beta 9 the 'contentHtml' attribute was removed, so resulted into empty descriptions. (related issues v17development/flarum-seo20 & v17development/flarum-seo18)
Added language attribute to the HTML tag (issue v17development/flarum-seo19)
Fixed bugs loading the webpage when an user was deleted (issue v17development/flarum-seo17)
Thanks to @jslirola Spanish translations were added (PR https://github.com/v17development/flarum-seo/pull/16)
The plugin now uses display_name instead of username attribute (issue v17development/flarum-seo3)

If you encounter any bugs, don't hesitate to create new issues on GitHub!

To update the plugin to version 1.0.2, run the following command:

composer update v17development/flarum-seo

Then, check the admin panel if the update ran and the version number says 1.0.2.

is it disabling QAPage schema by adding the key disable_fancy_discussion_seo with the value 1 on database still working? or there are new way? After upgrading to newest version, my forum got a lot Q&A issues on Google search console.

Edit: After rechecking url then Testing live URL, its show that issue has been solved. So i'll rechecking all the url that had issued. This only works on "Missing field "mainEntity.suggestedAnswer.text"" issue. But i did the same to url for "Either "acceptedAnswer" or "suggestedAnswer" should be specified'" issue and its still show error.

pxnji Sorry for the late response, forgot to reply! 👀 It's by default disabled until you enable this in the settings of the extension, that has changed since the release of version 1.0 and I forgot to update that in the extension description 🙂

If I am correct the QA problem should be fixed if you update to version 1.0.2. Empty answers are just warnings as when there is no answer yet. Google is just saying that they have indexed it but there is no answer supplied yet. Can you send me an example URL that I can check?

Hi @JasperVriends, I recently updated the extension to 1.0.2. However, I see the content in the text field is not stripping HTML tags.
Any help to fix this?

KushalAzza Hi Kushal! It's indeed not stripping HTML tags, the thought for this was that Google and other search engines may index the content better (images, texts and headings).

However, I couldn't find anything that says it should be text only, HTML or any other requirements for that field. So I'm not sure if the current implementation is wrong.

Any suggestions or thoughts?
