I've released an update!

Fixed problem PHP notice reported by @iivanov
Fixed markdown code in page descriptions
Fixed flooding logs after a tag was not found
Corrected discussion URL for the QADiscussion class
Thanks to @ahrasis for his pull request on GitHub, Bahasa Malaysia language is added!
Also, German, French and Frisian (a Dutch dialect) have been added to the plugin

Run the following command on your server to update the plugin:

composer update v17development/flarum-seo

010101 I've tried different combinations of plugin ordering as jordanjay29 suggested, but could not reproduce any problems. Are you able to report an issue with the errorlog on GitHub?

Just a quick update. In less than a month, our forum went to the first and second pages (depending on the country you are in) when you search Graphic Design Forum, which is absolutely insane. We weren't even in top5 before. According to Google Analytics, we've got 61 organic visitors today.

Kakifrucht That is weird, are you sure you are on beta-0.3? As I look at the beta-0.3 code on GitHub I see an if statement on that line: https://github.com/v17development/flarum-seo/blob/0.3-beta/src/Managers/QADiscussion.php#L86

If you go to to the admin panel, and then extensions, do you see 0.3-beta as version number next to plugin name?

Alkir There is no need to edit the robots.txt for changing the path as the plugin takes the base url that is set in your config. If you edit that one with https it will automatically switch to https.

And what do you mean with host string?

JasperVriends Oh wow, looks like I wasn't. I re-ran the command, and it showed that there was nothing to update. composer.lock revealed that 0.1 was installed, for some reason. Reinstalled and now works fine. Sorry about that, and thank you!

Google just reported that they indexed a "QAPage" without a "acceptedAnswer" or "suggestedAnswer" attribute.
I don't understand why the reported page shows up as QAPage with this extension installed, as there aren't even any questions there. I don't have the accepted answers extension installed either.

Default: Question-Answer results for discussions

By default, this extension creates an Question Answer result for discussions in Google and other supported search engines using the QAPage schema.org tags. Check the screenshot below how that looks like. However, this setting will load all posts with usernames and likes. There is no caching for this yet.

This can be heavy for your server. When this makes your forum slow, you can turn back to the default SEO and check if that helps. The only way (right now) is to go to your database, then the table settings, and add the key disable_fancy_discussion_seo with the value 1

Kakifrucht If I'm correct it should not affect the search results for the websites. But I will improve the way how you need to disable that. But for now just change that through the database as pxnji suggests 🙂

I tried to empty the cache and so... but when I activated the SEO extensions.. this code is showed twice.

It is normal? or just happened to me?

I have the problem that some of my discussions are broken if the extension is enabled. An error occurred while trying to load this page. gets displayed if the the Disussion-Page gets reloaded with F5, or is opened with the direct link. When the discussion is opened via the homepage, the post loads without problems. The Error Log is the following(this gets only logged when the error occures):

Alkir I have to look but i think i wrote a post about that on here a month or so ago

Alkir For now it is not yet possible to edit the robots.txt, I will add this to the wishlist to be able to edit the file for the advanced users!

Alkir What do you mean with that? The description tags are automatic generated for discussions and tags 🙂 Unless you mean different type pages?
