Is It Possible To Install on cPanel (Namecheap Hosting)

Hey,

I love the look and feel of this form!

I would really love to have the form for my Technology website, Technology Puzzle! However, I am not much of a coder... I guess what I am wondering, is there an easy way to install this on a Namecheap hosting with a cPanel setup? If so how?!

Unless you have SSH access, it's not going to be possible to install it directly. You can install on a local server and then upload it to your host.

@DonaldLouch I'm running my Flarum on cPanel.

You can install using composer(in my case i had yo install it). Or you can just upload everything.

In my case, I couldn't install with composer from the main directory(public_html) cause it said that it wasnt empy. So i created a folder public_html/Flarum and used the composer from there and just moved everything to public_html

Okay thanks santiagobiali! How do you install Composer? Is at simple as downloading it and uploading it to the server?

DonaldLouch Yep, just follow the instructions on getcomposer.org.

DonaldLouch Yep, you can follow the instructions found on our installation docs.

You'll need an empty folder, so like @santiagobiali mentioned you could install to someplace like /public_html/flarum and then move the contents of that folder back to wherever you want to put it.

Hey jordanjay29, so I think I successfully installed composer on my server! However whenever I type in the command "composer create-project flarum/flarum . --stability=beta" it comes up as "bash: composer: command not found"... Am I entering the wrong code?

DonaldLouch Did you install locally or globally? That command works if you installed globally.

If you installed to a local directory, you'll need to use the command php composer.phar create-project... instead.

I'm not sure jordanjay29, I logged in to my SSH and then typed the command "curl -sS https://getcomposer.org/installer | php" and it's showing up in my root folder on my server.

I tried that revised command above and still no luck.

then install the flarum

I tried to move the composer installation around and even re-did the installation a few times and kept getting that message...

DonaldLouch If that succeeds just move everything from instalation_folder to public_html
I've had the same problem here, apperently it doesn't allow you to use it directly into public_html

 mkdir installation_folder #Case sensitive-correction here
 cd installation_folder  #installation has 2 'l's
 composer create-project flarum/flarum . --stability=beta

mkdir: cannot create directory `Installation_folder': File exists
-bash: cd: instalation_folder: No such file or directory
