TheyCallMeTojo A word of advice, most people that suffer from anxiety and depression see things as being "dark". Being in a "dark place" or "dark time". Your forum being so dark doesn't feel warm and inviting. I'd use a white background with bright foreground colors. Make it appear inviting and "happy".
010101 TheyCallMeTojo Thanks for the feedback. I might lighten it up a little, but, my goal was to make it easy on the eyes. I know there's a night mode extension, but, I was hoping to make it easy on the eyes at all times without having to switch on night mode. You make a good point though. I'll have to think about it... Thanks again!
010101 TheyCallMeTojo Now I'll be messing around with colors all day 😄. I just switched to a white background with an interesting purple color. But, I'm not crazy about purple.
TheyCallMeTojo Much more inviting though. Google "web2.0 colors" and try a few of those combinations.
010101 TheyCallMeTojo I think I found a color palette I like which is less depressing. I may change it 20 more times, but for now, I went with a gold color. Then, since I still want something easier on the eyes than a bright white background, I found a nice super light blue/grey color. Thanks again for taking the time to provide feedback.
neptronix I'm a depressive and i like the dark colors because i find them calming. But that's just like, my opinion, man. Good luck with your community!
010101 neptronix Another good point. I think I’ll just change the colors daily. That way I’ll be sure to please everyone. Or, no one. 🤣
