electrolyte this is your host killing composer due to lack of memory. If your host allows, you could create a scratch disk (google it). There's no easy way to install without composer.

Davis Thanks for this reply Davis, that explains a lot. I just contacted the host and they won't even tell me how much memory is allocated (for security reasons) but I can't really tell what's taking up all the resources. I'm running Composer from the place it's globally installed:

php ~/.php/composer/composer require santiagobiali/flarum-ext-logo

and no matter what the process is killed.

Is there another way to change the header logo by hand instead of using this extension?

Can u try this:

php -dmemory_limit=1G ~/.php/composer/composer require santiagobiali/flarum-ext-logo

php -dmemory_limit=1G ~/.php/composer/composer --memory=1G require santiagobiali/flarum-ext-logo

php -dmemory_limit=-1 ~/.php/composer/composer require santiagobiali/flarum-ext-logo

Also make sure composer is updated to latest version `

composer self-update

Please open a separate thread for this, your issue is related to the custom css field in the admin, not to the Logo extension. Also you can simply fix this by editing the custom_css field in the database settings table (from the top of my head).

I've set up Flarum for a small proof-of-concept forum and have installed the Logo extension.
Is there any way I can have a retina graphic for the logo (i.e., use an @2x image)?

Im getting an issue where a larger logo is sticking over the ui elements on a mobile device. It would by handy to completely hide the logo on smaller screens.

Sorry if if the mods are going crazy over necro posting here but this plugin is still very relevant for adding an svg as a logo and changing the css of it. Don't know why an svg can't be used as a logo natively but at least this plugin works until then.

Agree, actually find it handles the re-sizing of images a lot better. We had our logo with the core logo and it came out blurred whereas with this extension it's nice and clear.
