Littlegolden both extensions actually do the same thing. They both enable the same plugin (PipeTables) inside of the TextFormatter.
This extension additionally adds some CSS for the tables.
If the tables don't render, you might need to clear your formatter cache with php flarum cache:clear or via the clear cache button of the admin panel. FoF Formatting shouldn't be required.
