solo1988 so, I wanted to preserve some of the flexibility of BBCode. The way that images are laid out varies depending on how the post is marked up. If an image is alone in its paragraph (separated by two returns) then it will be displayed at its full size, up to the full width of the post, and at least 640px wide.
If the image is inline, then it's made quite compact (maximum 240px by 120px) so not to too drastically interrupt the flow and spacing of text.
