[deleted] there's no built in solution to achieve this, and I don't think any existing extension implements such behavior.

i' ve never heard the long titles causing any issue though. Isn't just hidden out of view at worst in the tab name ? Or is there a particular context where the title is displayed where you'd like it shorter ? For example the extensions that add opengraph and the like might add the title alone in such a tag for sharing.
