Netlify finally launched a community forum! Too bad it doesn't use Flarum 🙁

What is Netlify ? Is it a big site ? Just curious why it is a news here.

meetdilip Netlify is a platform for hosting your web projects. It offers static web hosting with a powerful redirect/proxy system, serverless functions via AWS Lambda, an authentication service, form handling, and a large media handling service. It's all Git-centric and served through a global ADN (kinda like a CDN, but everything is served directly from the edge). It's pretty cool!

lol figures they'd go for Discourse, they'll learn soon enough of that mistake 🤣

Sure you can add all kinds of integrations and it likely matched up to the stack they were used to, but hell, it took me a hot minute to setup Discourse with its bazillion steps 😛

Ralkage Yeah, Discourse is a huge pain. It takes forever to set up and god, is it ugly! 😂

OrdinaryJellyfish the UI is very confusing, but still much more modern than most forum software out there
